I've been on forced recovery this week... otherwise known as the 'common cold'!
Physically, I think I'm on the mend. Mentally and emotionally, I keep thinking about the 120k ride I should have done on Sunday, and the 22k run I should have done on Wednesday.
I'm starting to think about the Mt Nebo ride I'm supposed to do tomorrow.
Instead, all I've done this week is tried my luck on a short wind trainer session at recovery heart rate.
My coach is optimistic. I guess he's right, there are still 15 weeks until Ironman Regensburg so all is not lost. So, for now I just have to concentrate on getting better.
