I slept through my alarm today.
I woke up at 6am to my husband asking me, "do you know what your race number is for Cairns?"
"Nope."
"I do. Have a guess."
Come on down Larry Emdur.
"226."
(It could still be my lucky number. I haven't decided.)
"Higher."
"1126.
"Lower."
"Am I ever going to guess this... is it a number that's significant in any way?" I asked.
"No, I just thought it would be a way to wake you up and get you out of bed."
I got out of bed but I didn't train. When you sleep through your alarm it's because you need a rest.
But the mail is in. Not only are athlete numbers online, the athlete information book for Ironman Cairns is too.
So come on down, Athletic Powerhouse.
Your husband is funny...
ReplyDeleteI don't like my number. It's 2564
Well, he thinks he is anyway...
DeleteI think your numbers starts with 2 and has four digits because you're doing the half. Want a smaller number? Do the full distance, kiwi tri'er! :-P
